About

I founded Frank Impact to help organisations turn the overwhelming world of sustainability into practical actions. With over a decade of experience in start-ups and scale-ups, I bring expertise in circularity, plastics, waste and resources, carbon management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

My career has taken me from scaling the sustainability strategy of a fast-growing cleantech start-up to leading impact at an award-winning consumer brand, where I worked across climate action, ocean health, and social justice. Having worked at the intersection of sustainability and growth, I understand the realities of embedding sustainable practices in fast-paced environments.

I know that most organisations want to do better but are often held back by limited resources, competing priorities, or simply not knowing where to start. Having worked on little to no budget myself, I take a pragmatic approach - whether that’s smarter material choices, life cycle thinking, or small innovations that add up without overhauling your strategy. And when there is budget and ambition, I know how to align impact with business value, turning sustainability into a driver of trust, differentiation, and even revenue.

The journey

After completing my MSc in Environmental Consultancy at UWE, I began my career tackling one of the world’s most pressing challenges: plastics. I joined Recycling Technologies in its early start-up days as the 12th employee, where I spent seven years helping the company grow from a small team into a 130-strong scale-up. As Head of Sustainability & Environment, I developed the decarbonisation strategy, integrated life cycle thinking into technology development, and navigated complex regulatory landscapes, all vital in securing investment and building industry trust. A big part of my role was also policy advocacy, working through industry bodies and directly with regulators to shape the conditions for circular solutions to thrive. Those years taught me how to balance innovation with regulation and how to scale sustainability alongside business growth.

In 2022, I moved into the mission-led consumer world as Head of Impact & Sustainability at Ocean Bottle. Here, I redesigned the company’s impact framework, oversaw global plastic collection partnerships across seven countries, and embedded sustainability across the value chain, from alternative materials to climate strategy and reputational risk. Importantly, I saw how linking impact directly to a product offering doesn’t just deliver environmental and social value, but also strengthens brand differentiation, builds trust, and helps justify a premium in competitive markets. The role brought me closer to social justice and ocean health, and showed me how sustainability, when done with integrity, can serve both people and the bottom line.

In 2025, I founded Frank Impact to bring this experience together. I know the realities of working with tight budgets and competing priorities, and I also know how to align sustainability with commercial success. Whether through strategy, compliance, circular economy, or training, I’m focused on delivering practical, actionable solutions that work in the real world.
